5:01 AM… Scanning Film

Spread the love

5:01 am… I’ve been scanning film for the past hour. Will this pile ever get any smaller? I’ve been scanning for three days straight, and I still have a huge pile left to do. I let things pile up far too high this time. Before going to New Orleans last month, I developed some 80 rolls of 35mm Tri-X, and around 25 rolls of medium format.

I would say that scanning negatives is my least favorite part of the photographic process. What step in making prints do you find to be the most laborious?

Well, it looks coffee is ready! Good morning, World!

Note: I use the Epson Perfection V700 for scanning all my 35mm negatives and medium–format films.

good morning Chuck…I once scanned about 5000 slides..and I have to say it was the most boring thing I think I’ve ever done…now I am a (gulp before i say this out loud) digital photographic person, I gues the most laborious part of the process is the tagging and labelling as I post…lesson here is post less. and I am working on that enjoy your coffee!

Mornin’ Paul! Nothing wrong with shooting digital. Yes, meta data can also be a daunting task. I’m a slacker when it comes to that. I should have many photos that show in search for “heroin,” but I slacked on tagging… Coffee is good!
