Making Film Test Strips For Development
Making Film Test Strips For Development – I can’t express how important testing is when it comes to black and white film development. All of the time charts are really just starting points for the photographer to launch their own experiments. In this video I cover the how and why of making test strips before developing any important films.

I like these short tips. So would it not make more sense to shoot several rolls of the same film, choose one or two developers and focus on finding the right time rather than trying different films? Chuck great content. If I may suggest a class on the things you can do while developing that can impact grain. I would like to minimize grain and wonder if aside from film choice is there anything that can impact grain? Keep them coming Chuck!
Exactly! Use the same film, and different development times and strengths. Don’t do stand development if you want low grain. I have an entire video class on film development: http://blackandwhitefilmdevelopment.com/
