Update: Today is March 2, 2014. John Lee was the main person I came to know during my photo documentary project on Heroin addiction. John surrendered to his addiction in the winter of 2016-2017 not long after getting out of mandatory treatment. I’m not sure where, but I can’t get the vision of John being found in the abandoned building where he liked to shoot-up in. John and I had many conversations about important things. Things like, the problem with a God, the illusion of free-will, and man’s inhumanity towards man. All of this will be in my coming book, Putting a Price on Heaven. John, may you R.I.P…
Originally Published on January 27, 2014 – John is 28 years old, and has been shooting Heroin for the past eight years. John is one of several addicts who will be included in my forthcoming documentary photography project on Heroin addiction.
I have been working this particular project for the past eight months. During this time, I have come to know several addicts on a deep and personal level. We’ve built relationships, and are working together to tell their stories These photos on my blog are but a small glimpse into the dark and dirty world of Heroin addiction.
