I had a photo shoot scheduled yesterday, but the house where we were to do it, was raided by the Chicago Police the day before. Needless to say, the subject wasn't home.
We were supposed to do a photo shoot of the abscesses on his legs. From what I understand, they're quite horrific - far worse than anything that I've photographed thus far.
However, I was able to meet some new people, as the house wasn't totally empty.
This, is Danny. Danny first started snorting heroin back in 1996.
Danny has two daughters, and one granddaughter. His mother died of AIDS back in 1996, after many years of working as a prostitute. Danny was essentially raised by his grandfather since he was one year old, and he has never seen his father.
Danny first stated by snorting heroin in 1996. Then in 2011, be began injecting.
When asked what he would say to someone who's about to try heroin for the first time, Danny passionately responded, "Don't do it! I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy."
