The work of Robert Frank was pure political propaganda… @Michael Klinkhamer.. Photos don’t lie??? Someone goes to a birthday party. Everyone is happy and is having a fantastic time. Someone comes with a camera and takes snapshots at very odd moments when people have depressed and unpleasant looks on their faces. Some of them are mearly responding to the intrusion of the camera. One photo was taken while a lady was struggling to put her shoe on after dancing. Her face looked terrible in the photo, as if she were in tremendous pain. The person with the camera then reports how sad everybody was at the party… Tell me again how photos don’t lie??? It is very easy to misrepresent things with photos. The photo might not lie, but people sure do!
