Embattled Kentucky county clerk, Kim Davis, returned to work on Monday after being released from the Carter County Detention Center last week. Davis stated that she will continue to defy the court order by refusing to authorize marriage licenses.
Kim Davis seems truly vexed by this situation, and I did not get the sense that she’s doing this simply for gaining attention. While I may not agree with her positions, I don’t think she’s a bad person worthy of vilifying, as I’ve seen being done in some forums.
Alan Hoile, a Kim Davis supporter from North Carolina, took a moment to speak with me about his perspective concerning same-sex marriage, the Constitution, state law, and the Bible.
