Opponents of proposed New Mexico red flag law hold rally at state Capital

Hundreds of Second Amendment supporters gathered outside the New Mexico state Capital building to urge lawmakers to vote down a proposed “red flag law.” This event was sponsored by Stefani Lord of Pro-Gun Women. This legislation is backed by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, and would allow police to seize firearms from people deemed to be an “extreme risk” to themselves or others. Many Americans feel that red flag laws are unconstitutional. If this legislation goes through, New Mexico will join 17 other states and the District of Columbia that have similar laws.
