There’s nothing in the world like riding a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. Own a Harley, join the club. No Harley, no admittance… I was just telling my wife about how much respect you get from people – all kinds of people – when you have a Harley packed down hard and dirt on your skin. People want to know where you’re from, where you’re going, and all the places you’ve been. Old men reminisce and tell you about that panhead they owned when they were 30.

Needless to say, I’m excited about getting back on the road! Now that I have all my camera gear organized and ready to go, I need to put some TLC into my bike, Bertha.  Bertha needed some new blood before we hit the road on Monday for Asheville, NC., so I brought her in for an oil change.  I’m about 1000 miles early, but changing it now will give me plenty of worry free miles.

Unlike Chi-Town Harley-Davidson, the guys over at Cycles “R” Us in Orland Park, actually put fresh oil in the cases when they change the oil. Strange, I know, but that’s what they do over at Cycles “R” Us.
