“Life is about experiences not things. The walking photography night tour with Chuck Jines is an amazing experience that I will not soon forget. Chuck is part philosopher, documentarian, philanthropist, artist (although he may argue no), and teacher.
We learned how to “get off automatic” and shoot in manual mode, quickly learning why shooting on automatic is truly constraining. We were blessed with rain, and Chuck took us to get some fantastic night views of the Chicago skyline (with lightening as a backdrop), reflective shots of the flamingo (orange sculpture not sure of proper name), St. Peter’s Church, and alleys. “I know the best alleys.” -Chuck Jines.
I can personally attest that Chuck Jines in fact does know the best alleys in Chicago for great photographic opportunities and I have the pictures to prove it! The night was fun, informative, and an adventure. If you have any interest in street photography Chuck Jines is the expert you want to go out and shoot with, take his workshop, he will not disappoint.
